Breakout Session5>> East Asia 30, Leading CSR Last March, 110 Korean corporations that passed Britain¡¯s FTSE standards for advanced countries, to-gether with those of Israel, had their Socially Responsible Investment Index evaluated to be on the list of FTSE4GOOD. The resulting evaluation indexes for the Social and Governance domains were significantly lower than that for the Environment domain. In particular, in Human Rights and Labor measure, all 110 corporations did not reach the listing standards. In the 5th breakout session, ¡®East Asia 30¡¯, the list of East Asia 30 2011 will be announced. The evalua-tion model featured strengthened Social and Governance domains, as 10 Asia CSR Expert Committee members made improvements to last year¡¯s model. Chul-ki Chu, who was the chief committee member in the evaluation process, will moderate this session. He is also the secretary general at UN Global Compact Korea Network. Won-jae Lee, the president at Hankyoreh Economic Research Institute, will announce the general picture of evaluation model including the evaluation process. Young-myon Lee, a professor at Dongkuk University, who has participated in the evaluation process, and Mariko Kawaguchi from Daiwa Institute of Research will present the current trends and the direction of development of CSR in their own countries. Takashi Ebashi, a professor at Hosei University and also the president at Global Compact Research Institute of Hosei University will participate in the discussion panel.
