Social Entrepreneurs Share Experiences The third breakout session, ¡®Social Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Development in Asia¡¯, will be mod-erated by Hyung-soo Seo, the headmaster at Social Entrepreneur School. Social entrepreneurs around the world whose missions are to solve problems that Asia has encountered such as poverty, energy and the environment by adapting technologies are invited to this session to share their experiences. The panel discusses what the true social entrepreneurship is. This year¡¯s winner of Magsaysay Award, Tri Mumpuni, the president at Ibeka, shares her experience in contributing in alleviating poverty and gaining energy independence through the development of hydro power plants. Fan Li, the president at Global Link Initiatives, introduces the case studies of Chinese social entrepreneurs who are pursuing eco-friendly lifestyle. Toshi Nakamura, the president at Kopernik, shows us how social entrepreneurs can eradicate poverty with the power of technology. Kopernik provides a platform that connects people in need with innovative technologies. Takashi Ebashi, a professor at Hosei University, and Daeguy Kim, the CEO at Energy Farm, will partici-pate in the discussion panel to share their experiences and opinions on social entrepreneurship.
