    Soomin Seo is an associate professor of journalism at Sogang University in Seoul, Korea.
     
    Her research focuses on how journalism is evolving in a rapidly globalizing world, and how news institutions are responding to this evolution.
     
    She is currently engaged in research projects looking into media practices in East Asia and North America. Seo received her PhD in communications at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, and studied public policy at Harvard University.
     
    Her work has appeared in publications such as Journalism Studies and Columbia Journalism Review.
     
    She is also a former journalist who worked for international news outlets.

    Jin-Wook Shin is Professor of Sociology at Chung-Ang University in South Korea.
    He studied sociology at Yonsei University and received his PhD in Sociology at Free University Berlin in Germany.
     
    He was a Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and a visiting professor at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Graz in Austria. He served as vice-president of the Korean Association of Social Policy, vice-president of the Korean-German Association of Social Sciences, and director of the DAAD-Centre for German and European Studies (ZeDES) in South Korea.
     
    He has published books and articles on democracy, civil society, social movements, and social inequalities in Korean, English, and German. ​​

    Kim Mankwon is a political philosopher.
     
    He currently works as a research professor at the Center for Cross Cultural Studies at Kyung Hee University and also serves as the CEO of the collective human algorithm AI Five.
     
    He has previously held the position of Director at the Participatory Society Research Institute and served as the editor-in-chief of the academic journal "Citizen and the World." Currently, he is engaged in civic political education activities through broadcasting, media, and lectures.

    He has authored more than 10 books, including "The Arrival of New Poverty" and "Homo Justice," and has translated works such as "Democracy Is in the Streets" and "The People" into Korean.

    Kang-Kook Lee is a Professor in the College of Economics at Ritsumeikan University. 
     
    His research interests encompass economic growth, inequality, financial globalization and the East Asian economy. He graduated from the Department of Economics and the Graduate School of Economics at Seoul National University. 
     
    He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Massachusetts, with a focus on capital account liberalization and economic development. 
     
    He published several books and numerous papers in academic journals including the Cambridge Journal of economics.
     
    As a visiting scholar, he has been affiliated with Columbia University in 2009, the University of Cambridge in 2018, and Seoul National University in 2019. He also serves as a co-editor of The Japanese Political economy.

    Professor Jayoung Yoon graduated from the Department of Economics at Seoul National University and earned a doctorate in economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She has taught labor economics at the Department of Economics at Chungnam National University since 2016 after working as a researcher at the Korea Labor Institute affiliated with the Economic, Social, and Humanities Research Council.
     

    Her research focuses on multidimensional discrimination and inequality, particularly in relation to gender in the family and labor market. She explores the impact of care work, both in the market and home spheres, on gender inequality. Additionally, she investigates the socio-economic value and importance of the care economy. Their findings have been published in various papers. 

     

    She has served as a member of the Presidential Committee on the Minimum Wage Council and the Ageing Society and Population Policy, and as a consultant/advisor to the Ministry of Labor and Employment, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, and NGOs advocating women’s and workers’ rights.

    Prof. Bokyeong Park teaches at the Graduate School of Pan-Pacific International Studies, Kyung Hee University, and serves as the President of the Korean Development Economics Association. 
     
    In the Moon Jae-in administration, he worked as the Economic Advisor to the President. His research focuses on the international economic order, including the international financial system, and emerging economies.
     
    Prior to joining Kyung Hee University, he was a research fellow at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy, and a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley and Johns Hopkins University.
    He earned Ph.D. in Economics from Seoul National University, Korea.​
